Hello beautiful people, hope we’ve all been doing well. The year 2015 is slipping by quietly, sure we are making the most of our invaluable time!
Do not be deceived, I’m not here to promote Asa’s new release but to share my thoughts on something interesting that struck me during my study time, although I kept contemplating whether to share or not, God kept throbbing my heart to share. I pray it blesses you!
Most times as believers, when situations we’re not very pleased with happens, we are quick to bind and cast because we believe no undesirable event should happen to us but then Life happens to everyone. Sometimes to get to that great unprecedented height require us to go through intense work, commitment, denying ourselves of certain privileges etc.
The bible verse that struck me was Matthew 16: 21-23 (NLT):
In this verses we see that Jesus was sharing what was necessary for him to go through, things that were not so palatable; not only that, he would also be killed!
As just like every well-meaning friend or family will do, Peter rebuked Jesus saying “Heaven forbid, Lord” “This will never happen to you!”
You might have heard similar like “Stop wishing yourself bad things”
“Why are you thinking about negative things?”
One thing Peter failed to pay attention to was the latter part of His statement; “BUT on the third day He would be raised from the dead.” Halleluiah!
What was Jesus’ response,“Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”
How many times have we seen things from our perspective?
Have you asked what God would have you bind and cast or just ask for direction to navigate?
Imagine if God gave in, there would be no resurrection morning!
Let’s be encouraged today, no matter how stressful that job is, how tedious that exam may seem, the list is endless; hold on for the latter glory! Fix your eye on the end goal do not be distracted. Why?
“For our present troubles are small and won’t last long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we do not look at the troubles we see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

Hello Pero, i have some catching up to do on your blog. After reading this, I remember the topic of discussion in our family scripture study last week.
that oppositions, trials and challenges are part of our test here in life, they are to make us stronger people and better people if we are able to go through them faithful and with the Lord’s help.
I guess the way i understand it, it is like how do we appreciate sweet if we do not taste bitter every now and then.
